Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) and Faculty Support

COIL initiative

BG西游捕鱼 began our COIL initiative at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Using SUNY鈥檚 pioneering COIL Institute as a model and for support, we began engaging faculty in Collaborative Online International Learning through faculty learning communities and over 30 faculty across our disciplines have been trained in COIL, and over 300 SSU students and over 500 students at partner universities worldwide have been able to interact and collaborate in meaningful ways. We are also proud to have been awarded the 2020 AASCU Excellence and Innovation Award for COIL: Sustaining Global Engagement During a Pandemic.
